A glimpse into the magical holiday season that she has with her two young sons is provided by country music sensation Carrie Underwood as she shares her vision of the ideal Christmas.
The singer, who gave away her Christmas album, “My Gift,” to fans in 2020, shared a touching video on social media showing her enjoyment of the holiday as seen through the eyes of her sons, Isaiah (8) and Jacob (4), with husband Mike Fisher.
Every year around this time, the Underwood-Fisher family takes a trip to see either Carrie’s or Mike’s family. Even though Carrie is a vegetarian, she manages the kitchen and whips up a feast that includes her beloved sweet potato casserole.
A few years ago, Carrie worked poignantly with her son, Isaiah, on a special Christmas project. She opted to use Isaiah’s voice in the version of “Little Drummer Boy” that she had originally recorded alone for her CD.
As Isaiah’s love of music and singing was evident in the recording studio, the choice was endearingly successful. Although Isaiah’s involvement was not immediately assured, everything worked out splendidly.
Carrie told of Isaiah’s delight, his sweet five-year-old feelings overflowing as he sang with his mother. As a mother, Carrie turned the event into a proud occasion, and her husband Mike Fisher also felt excited.
Carrie, who usually shares her music, chose to surprise Isaiah by delaying sending the song. Rather, the family cuddled up in their automobile and experienced listening as a unit for the first time.
It was a priceless moment that captured Isaiah’s happiness at hearing his voice on tape. Carrie underlined the value of these family times, saying that even in the most basic situations—like while listening in the car—you may make priceless memories.
Married in 2010, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher still enjoy their family’s customs. Carrie’s Christmas, as the holidays draw near, centers on these special times spent with her sons, allowing them to experience the wonder of the season firsthand.
